Classic Maine Lobster Roll
Serves: 6 to 8
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. of lobster meat
- Fresh top split hot dog buns
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 6-8 fresh lemon wedges
- Fresh chopped celery, iceberg lettuce (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl lightly toss lobster meat with mayonnaise (just enough to hold it together). Add a shake of pepper and chill. Optionally you can add fresh chopped celery.
- Melt butter in a small dish and brush on sides of your lobster roll. In a large pan grill each side of bun until lightly browned.
- Pack as much lobster meat in the bun as you can. Optionally you can layer ice berg lettuce in buns. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and your favorite potato chips.
